The YMCA of Yonkers conducts a school age child care program for children throughout the entire school year right in downtown Getty Square.  The program’s hours of operation are from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, for school age children ages 5-12 (no pre-school).

The children have activities that include homework assistance in our state of the art learning center, music, dance, drama, sports, indoor and outdoor recreation, a game room, local trips, swim lessons, advanced swimming opportunities and snacks.  We are taking obesity by the horns and have established a new Kids Fitness Program!  This is available for children 8-12 years old. We have a strong, Christian atmosphere and a well trained staff to insure a great program.

The cost for our School Age Child Care program is $180.00 per week.  We also accept funds from the Department of Social Services.  A great deal of money has been allocated towards school age child care, from Title XX (20) in Westchester County.  If you are a working parent feel free to contact us to make sure of your eligibility.

Our program is also supported by the United Way, the City of Yonkers, the County of Westchester and private foundations and grants.
