Media Production Classes

Posted on January 18th, 2012 in Education & Leadership

The Media Production Program is a six-week, 1-1/2hr. class that consists of making short films, public service announcements, commercials and music videos.  Students will learn the dynamics of how to shoot still photography and video, edit shots and footage and compose soundtracks (music and narration) for their productions.  Students will also learn how to make stunning slideshow presentations.  A final project is required from each program participant.

Kevin is a native of Harlem, New York and calls Yonkers home.  He is a graduate of New York Film Academy (2003) and The College of New Rochelle’s School of New Resources (BA) and Graduate Program, obtaining his MS in Communications in 2010, where he is also an adjunct professor.

Kevin strives to give his audience the performance of a lifetime, every time he turns on a camera.  He strives for perfection and knows the feeling of getting “that” perfect shot. His passion for media production is only surpassed by his love of family.

Kevin joined The Yonkers Family YMCA back in 2006 and returned in 2010.  For a sample of Kevin’s work, log on to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhQ1meSL_jQ and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqNi1xO9Kg4 .
